Withdrawal Policy
At Pakistan Research Letter, we value integrity and scholarly rigor in the publication process. We understand that circumstances may arise where authors need to withdraw their submissions. This withdrawal policy outlines the procedures and conditions under which withdrawals are permitted.
- Withdrawal Eligibility:
Manuscripts can only be withdrawn prior to final acceptance and publication.
Authors must provide valid reasons for withdrawal, such as fundamental errors in the research or ethical concerns.
- Withdrawal Procedure:
Authors requesting withdrawal must send a formal withdrawal request to the editorial office via email.
The withdrawal request must include the manuscript title, manuscript ID (if available), corresponding author’s name, and reasons for withdrawal.
The withdrawal request will be reviewed by the editorial board to ensure compliance with withdrawal eligibility criteria.
- Decision on Withdrawal:
The editorial board will assess each withdrawal request promptly.
If the withdrawal request meets the eligibility criteria and is deemed valid, the manuscript will be withdrawn from the publication process.
Authors will be notified of the withdrawal decision via email.
- Publication Fees:
Withdrawal of a manuscript does not exempt authors from any applicable publication fees.
Authors are responsible for any incurred costs up to the point of withdrawal.
- Re-submission Policy:
Authors may resubmit a revised version of the manuscript following the withdrawal, provided it meets the submission guidelines and ethical standards.
Re-submission does not guarantee acceptance, and the manuscript will undergo the standard review process.
- Ethical Considerations:
Authors are expected to adhere to ethical guidelines throughout the publication process.
Any suspected breaches of ethics or misconduct will be investigated, and appropriate actions will be taken in accordance with our ethical policies.
- Reviewer and Editor Obligations:
Reviewers and editors involved in the evaluation of the withdrawn manuscript will maintain confidentiality regarding the content and reasons for withdrawal.
Reviewers and editors will not utilize any withdrawn manuscript content for personal or professional gain.
